BookCity Milano 2026 – Nanda Vigo: Two Books, Many Perspectives

Author:

As part of BookCity Milano 2026, on November 28, 2026, CASVA—the Center for Advanced Studies in the Visual Arts—will present the event “Nanda Vigo: Two Books, Many Visions.”
Two volumes, many contrasting perspectives on the work of Nanda Vigo.
“Archival Synecdoche” is the title of “Quaderno del CASVA 23,” published on the occasion of the exhibition organized at the Fabbrica del Vapore in 2025 to present the donation to CASVA by the Vigo Heirs of Nanda Vigo’s certified professional archive. The volume reflects an effort to convey the complexity of the artist’s entire body of work through a selection of emblematic fragments, compiled in essays by Giampiero Bosoni, Mariella Brenna, Graziella Leyla Ciagà, Enrico Delitala, Maria Fratelli, Anty Pansera, and Francesca Picchi.
Silvia Groaz’s book, “Nanda Vigo and Interiors: The Metaphysics of Everyday Life,” explores interiors as a living subject through archival documents, interdisciplinary essays, and testimonies from artisans, collaborators, friends, and residents.
The presence of scholars will allow for a deeper exploration of the many themes addressed by the artist throughout her long career.
